Here you can find a list of all countries of the world from which links are made to the general statistical information page of each country on this site. From each general page there are links to files with more specific historic demographical information.
In those specific files you will find data of the historical population growth of the country as a whole, and also figures of their administrative divisions and of their important cities.
A division is also made per continent at the bottom of this list, and that will likewise lead you further to the separate files of each country.

Of the countries only the commonly used names in the English language are given in this list.
For variants of these names - like those in an official language, an abbreviation or a historic name - "see" references have been made solely in the list of countries per continent.
In the list per continent each main entry of a country is accompanied by the national flag; to save space these pictures are ommited in this world list of countries.
